Welcome to Sustainable Cafe Ltd
Hello, I’m Mark. The Founder and Director of Sustainable Café Ltd.
Given this is our first blog, I thought I would introduce you to my team. We are only small at this point and hope to evolve into a thriving on-line sustainable retail organization and simply see what may happen.
Currently, I am running the show as we know it. My beautiful girlfriend, Gail, who is very clever has agreed to edit my blogs and heck, let’s see what comes next.
So far, we have a few people who I could confidently call my friends in this multiverse of partnerships. We have Sam from the Good Business Charter who has been a lot of fun working with getting our project accredited. We now, successfully have that gold standard which means a lot to us.
We also have our wonderful web designers, Cheap Web Designs, who I have worked with on a previous project pretty much in line with what I am about… that would be more sustainable retail.
That is my team as it is right now.
I truly cannot wait to see what may come next in this chapter of turning sustainable retail on its head and making our products available for everyone who joins us.
We have a lot of friends in the Third Sector who I am hoping may be able to contribute some amazing insights into what their projects are all about. For example, Groundswell, Connections, Crisis and Expert Link which are some incredible homeless charities who have helped possibly hundreds of thousands of people throughout their lifetimes.
We will ask other Third Sector organizations, like conservation trusts, human rights organizations and we will even push the boat out hopefully to the big hitter NGOs and ask their points of views.
We will ask them what they think would be the best approach to meeting the current supply chain and harnessing the best possible actions to ensure excellent working conditions and the best approach for the people manufacturing our products and minimize our negative impacts on the environment.
